West Deptford Band Parents General Meeting Minutes  12/1/08 

Meeting was called to order at 8:05pm with the pledge of allegiance. 

Minutes from last month’s meeting not available to approve. 

Soccer tournament not available yet – pending items returned

Fundraising – cheesecakes delivered and all orders picked up

Poinsettia orders turned in and delivery to be Thursday, Dec. 4^th 

Enjoy the City coupon books passed out by Mr. Kershaw - going well. 

Saturday, Dec 6^th 2 parades the Salem and Cape May parades – weather to be cold kids to dress warm.  They will stop for lunch on way to Cape May and band parents to provide pizza and hot chocolate for them after the parade.  Parents are welcome to come to parades. 

Playoff game Friday night at Delsa HS Mr. Kershaw to find out from Delsa band director if they will provide our kids with any food. 

Band parents to provide refreshments for Holiday concert Dec. 18^th sign up sheets being passed around. 

There are copies of Home Show programs available for anyone who wants a copy to show people who placed ads or to keep for you.  There are scarves available for $5.00  red/white and red/green  - may sell to kids for parade. 

There will be 2-concert band rehearsals on Tuesday, Dec. 9^th and Dec. 16^th from 6-8pm in preparation for the Holiday Concert. 

Mr. Kershaw was very pleased with the band this year.  The performance at ACC’s was the best of the year.  Improvement was made in all areas.  He was very proud of the kids and grateful to the parents for all of their support during the season.  

Dee asked for a motion to adjourn the meeting, Shannon and Leif first and seconded the motion.
