May General Membership Minutes May 7, 2007 Meeting was opened with the Pledge of Allegiance by Dee Leonard. Minutes from April were emailed to everyone's email address, motion to accept as sent made by Joanne Tunis, seconded by Eileen Mannion. Treasurer's Report Financial Report information available from Treasurer. Old Business Thank you to Outgoing board members. Thank you to all who helped with the WD Relays, especially the alumni. Fundraising WDBP are selling flowers and water at graduation June 15. Time to start selling 430, sign up sheet at meeting. New Item presented by Eileen Mannion-Car Magnets. West Deptford Eagle (can be used by all groups), selling for $5.00 main magnet and bars $3.00 (band, choir, soccer, etc.). It was suggested to sell at West Deptford Day. Mums fundraiser will start in Aug.will check with Kim Monsue on new vendor.. Donna Brocco will check on Friendly’s fundraiser for last day of day camp. Dee will check with Mr. Cross at the middle school to see if he is interested in designing our t shirts for the fundraiser. We will have J & J Photography at the cavalcade taking pictures. We need a couple of parents to assist with the orders. We will get a percentage of the profit. Spring Concert - May 22 at 7pm. Niagara Falls/Toronto Trip - May 23 –May 27. Memorial Day Parade - May 28; parents are needed to walk in parade and help give out water. Elks Parade Wildwood NJ - June 2. WDHS Music Department Awards Dinner - June 8, 7pm to 10pm Nicolosi Catering see Mr. Kershaw or Mr. Atkinson for tickets. Band picnic June 10 at Lake Garrison approximate time 12-5pm. Band members, 8th grade upcoming band members and a parent will be given a ticket. Additional tickets will be sold for $10.00. Sign up sheet at band meeting for salads and deserts. Band parents provide burgers, rolls, condiments and drinks. The kids had a great time last year, playing volleyball and swimming. Paddle boats and canoes are available for an additional charge. A letter will go out to eighth grade band students concerning this. PARENTS, Mr. Kershaw did give out a packet the first night of band practice (spring schedule, summer schedule and Band parents meeting schedule). If you have not yet seen this, ask your child.
