Jennifer Murtha attended Kean University and recently graduated in May of
2007 with a Bachelors in Mathematical Sciences with a Concentration in
Computer Science. While currently searching the job market she is working
fulltime as summer help in an Accounting/Finance office in Thorofare, NJ.
Jennifer has been a color guard instructor at West Deptford since 2002 and
has written dance pieces for other marching color guards including Highland
Regional HS, Timber Creek and Co-Motion winter guard. She is trained in all
pieces of equipment; including rifle, sabre, and flag. Jennifer has also
been trained in dance technique, and was a part of the Kean Dance Theatre
within her college for 4 years.
Jennifer's color guard experience began whilst she attended Triton Regional
High School . She marched 9 seasons of outdoor color guard and indoor winter
guard combined, becoming color guard captain her junior and senior year .
After graduating HS she went on to march with the Independent indoor color
guard Co-Motion where in 2003 she was nominated for and received a
scholarship for her indoor activities from the National Judges Association
of TOB. Jennifer also had the great pleasure and honor of marching with the
2004 Phantom Regiment "Phantomettes" Drum and Bugle Corps. Jennifer
Murtha is extremely excited to be with the West Deptford Marching Band once
again and looks forward to the 2007 season.
