October General  Meeting Minutes

October 1, 2007 

The meeting was opened by President Dee Leonard with the Pledge of Allegiance. 

September meeting minutes were sent out via email to the membership, motion to approve as sent made by Kim Monsu and seconded by Eileen Manion. 

Treasurer’s Report given by Rose Rossiter 

Donna Brocco went over cheesecake fundraiser, each cake sold student will receive $3.00.  All information is on the form. 

Denise (Ed Houghton’s daughter) is doing our Premier Jewelry fundraiser. Prices starting at $11.00. This is a band parent fundraiser that will go into the general fund not individual student’s account. Premier Catalogs were left at the meeting for people to start the catalog sales. We will finish the fundraiser at Ed’s house on Nov3 at 7pm. The band will make 35% of the sales.  Any parties that are booked and done we will get an additional $25.00.

Game Fri night, we will only be giving our band pretzels and water, the away team will not have there band with them. 

Saturday night competition at Clearview.  Band parents will be supplying pizza and drinks for dinner. Deserts will be given after the performance. 

Dover TOB Atlantic Coast the performance will be late. We will reserve busses. 

Baltimore will be a day show (not ending late at night); do not need to reserve busses. 

Mr. Kershaw discussed having a handicap curb put in out side the band room. This will help with loading and unloading the band equipment. 

Band trip info was sent out and reservation forms are due Nov 2. 

Last weeks competition went well, we received a 2 point penalty because our show was not complete. Once our show is complete we will see an increase. 

Spirit Wear – we will get new order forms
