September General Membership Minutes September 10, 2007 The meeting was opened by President Dee Leonard with the Pledge of Allegiance. August meeting minutes were sent out via email to the membership, motion to approve as sent made by Gretchen Segado, seconded by Martha Friars. Treasurer’s Report information is available from Rose Rossiter Fundraising Report by Donna Brocco West Deptford Day was a huge success this year thanks to the many people that donated items for the Chinese auction and worked that day. Donna will use the extra baskets for the cavalcade. We will not be selling mums this year, The Pump House is no longer available to us, and we could not find a vendor. Cinderella cream cheese cake fundraiser will start September 24, and end November 4th. Delivery Date November 20th (WDHS CAFITERIA) Longerberger baskets orders due this Saturday. Selling once again insulated travel mugs, $5.00 and free refills. Spirit wear sales are ongoing. CAVALCADE Sigh up sheets put out for all areas. We still need someone to be in charge of Judges food. Cindy Thomas will do decorations and sell mums used after the show. JMJ photography needs some helpers. Tom will talk to Key Club and National Honor Society for student availability. Martha will get some extra tables. Shop Thursday night for game Friday and show Saturday. Mike Brocco questioned if we use local food distributors to get wholesale prices. A special thank you to Ed Houghton and Tony Carino for the new quad. Mr. Kershaw: We had a problem last week with the field being sprayed and the band not able to use. This was discussed with Mr. Cohen and it should not be a problem again. Need parents for pit crew for the shows. The cost of the band camp this year was $ 240.00 and Tom says it should not go up next year. Practice time is from 6pm to 9 pm. Students are on the field at this time so they should come early to be ready at 6 and by the time they get off the field and put the instruments away it is 9:15. Tom will email weekly and update the schedule. Our first competition is Highland on September 29. Buy tickets from Mr. Kershaw so we keep the profits. Alterations Wednesday night from 5pm to 6pm.
