2026 ELKS PARADE INFORMATION

Saturday, 6/6/2026 - Schedule
8:15am - Report at WDHS
8:45am - Depart for Wildwood
10:45am - Arrive/Unload/Warm-up
11:50pm - Lineup (@16th Ave)
1:30pm - Complete parade
2:00pm - Eat (Food provided by Deptford Elks Lodge)
3:00pm - Depart for Boardwalk
6:00pm - Return to bus location - TBA
6:30pm - Depart for WDHS
8:30pm – Arrive at WDHS

Students should have a change of clothes.
Students should bring a snack or lunch to eat on the bus ride to the parade.
Students will need $$$ for dinner on the boardwalk.

Elks Parade Attire (Same as Memorial Day)
Musicians
• Uniform Shirt - Purchased though band
• Uniform Cap - Provided
• Solid Black Pants (w/belt loops & belt)
• Solid Black Band Shoes - Purchased though band
• Solid Black Socks

Color Guard
• Uniform Shirt - Purchased though band
• Solid Black Shorts (w/belt loops & respectable length – No short-shorts or cut-offs!!!)
• Solid White Shoes/Sneakers
• White Socks

Parade Route: The parade lines up around 16th and Atlantic, marches south down the Boardwalk from Juniper and ends at Burke. About 1.5 miles!

Note: We will be taking buses to and from the parade. All students must ride the bus. Students may not “meet” us at the parade. Additionally, no one may leave directly from the parade without a written letter from a parent and visible contact with parent.

Lunch Location: Daytona Inn – 4010 Atlantic Ave, Wildwood, NJ

2025 Christmas Parades

Jingle! Jingle! Jingle! Next week we have our final rehearsal and 2 parades to finish our 2025 season. Next Wednesday we have rehearsal from 6p-8p. On Saturday, 12/6 we have 2 parades! These are great community parades, and we have a lot of fun participating in them. Students should think about and prepare for the cold evening weather and "layer up" under their uniforms.

PARADES - Saturday (Full Band)
=> On Saturday, 12/6 students will need money for lunch. We will be stopping at a shopping center where there are several fast food restaurants to chose from.
=> Dinner will be provided at the end of the West Cape May parade by our band parents.
=> All musicians will need a red & white Santa hat for the parades. We will be using these in place of our uniform hats.

Salem Parade Info for Spectators:
Salem parade begins at 11am
Review Stand is at Market & Broadway (Rt.49)

Monday 12/1 -  Band Parents Meeting 8pm

Tuesday 12/2 - Winterguard Kickoff Rehearsal 6p-9p at WD High School

Wednesday 12/3 - WDMB Parade Rehearsal 6p-8p
- All pep band flip folders must be returned (you know who you are!)

Thursday 12/4 -  Winterguard 6p-9p

Friday, 12/5– Nothing Scheduled

Saturday, 12/6 - Salem & West Cape May Christmas Parades
Students will need the following:
- Full Uniform
- Santa Hat (Traditional Style, Red & White)
- Snacks for the bus ride
- $$$ for lunch

9:00am – Report & Load
9:20am – Depart for Salem Christmas Parade
11:00am – Parade begins
1:00pm – Depart for West Cape May
2:00pm – Lunch stop in Bridgeton (Rt 77 & Rt 49)
3:00pm – Continue to West Cape May Parade
4:00pm – Arrive in West Cape May
5:00pm – Parade begins
7:00pm – Complete parade, have pizza dinner
   => Dinner Location: Avondale by the Sea, 609 County Hwy 604, Cape May, NJ 08204
8:00pm – Depart for WDHS
9:45pm – Arrive at WDHS
9:50pm – Dismissed

All Uniforms will be collected upon return.
=> All uniforms must be returned on 2 separate hangers. one for pants, one for jackets <=
