Rain, rain go away!  Another week and another soggy weekend and there is little relief in sight. 
Thank you to everyone for being flexible with this past week's schedule adjustments.

This past week we did band uniform fittings.  
=> THANK YOU to the parents who were on hand to hem pants! 
Full Uniforms will be distributed next Wednesday, 9/19.

We are entering week three of the season with a big to-do list.  We will be working hard finishing and polishing our performance. This week we will be performing Parts I, II & III of our show.  Rehearsals are Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday.

Color shoes have been ordered!  All color guard members should forward their $30 to Mr. Kershaw by this Friday.  

This Friday we have football vs Delsea Regional here at WDHS.  We will again use our alternate uniforms for this week's football game. Musicians, please be sure that you have black dress socks that are at least calf high.  Please do not wear no-show or ankle-height black socks.  Thank you!

Parents: We will have our monthly meeting tonight at 8pm in the HS band room.  Now that the season is underway we have many upcoming events to prep for.  We will see you there!

Hello WDMB Family,

And we're back...or should I say..I'm back!  I want to thank everyone for working so hard to ensure a strong showing at our first football game. Thank you to all of our parents who came out to work the concession stand and get that huge operation running.  Its time to start looking ahead and setting our sights on this upcoming weekend. Please expect these posts to be regularly sent and detail the week.  Look for these each Sunday/Monday of the season.  

Commitment to Excellence!  Now that summer break has officially ended, we expect to have 100% attendance at every rehearsal and event. No exceptions.  Your full commitment begins now.

PERFORMANCE UPDATE!
This week we have our second performance.  THIS GAME LOCATION & DATE HAS BEEN CHANGED! Due to stadium construction at Collingswood HS, this game is being played at Haddon Twp on Saturday (Not Friday) at 10:30am. We were just informed of this this morning!

We will be providing the pregame entertainment for the away football game vs Collingswood HS.  All of us are excited to present our program "Distorted" to a live audience.  We are still in the early development stages of the program and will be working hard this week to polish as much of our performance as we can.  

Due to this change in the schedule, we have altered our rehearsals to eliminate a school night rehearsal.  Two changes have been made: 1) football game moved from Friday night  to Saturday morning. 2) Thursday's rehearsal is moved to Friday. This change coincides with our normal operating procedure when there isn't a Friday football game. We rehearse on Friday as it not a school night when possible.

UNIFORM FITTING (Musicians only)
We will be fitting uniforms this week.  All musicians are asked to report at 5pm on Tuesday & Wednesday for fittings.  We will be fitting jackets on Tuesday and pants on Wednesday.  

=> On Wednesday we will need help from any parents who can help us hem uniform pants.  If you are handy with a needle & thread, please come out at 5p.  Thank you!       

We will once again be using our alternate uniform this week for Saturday's FB performance.  
This is the same as what we wore last week & Memorial Day.  Replacement caps are $10.

Band performance attire for this week:

• WDMB shirt (provided) 
• Black Cap (provided)
• Solid black pants w/belt
• Solid Black shoes
• Black socks

 
Color Guard performance attire this week:

• WDMB shirt (provided) 
• Solid black shorts w/belt loops (no short-shorts or  cut-offs)
• Solid white shoes/sneakers, White socks. 

Band shoes: Any band members who still need shoes will need to provide Mr. Kershaw their size on Tuesday. Most students ordered them in the spring, but we will be putting in another order this week.  Shoes are $35.  Please make checks payable to "West Deptford High School"
