It was another week of growth for the WDMB. We saw the additions of our rotating props, color guard uniforms and front sideline graphics! We are very happy how our KALEIDOSCOPE program is developing. Thank you to everyone who has been working on these items for us!

On Friday, WD Administration recognized our WDMB seniors and their parents. This is a great tradition of recognizing the student AND parents. Congratulations and thank you for all of your years of participation and service to our program.

On Sunday, the WDMB traveled to Gateway Regional and pulled out am amazing performance in the rain. The WDMB did not flinch. They stood tall and threw down a strong and memorable performance. The WDMB earned the highest score of the contest with a score of 86.95. The WDMB continues to fight on as we head into the final weekend of regular season shows. The WDMB is currently ranked 6th in the Group II, Open Class rankings.

We need to put a huge shoutout to the band parents who were on hand to help us through the rain. Within one minute, we had popup tents over our electronics, covers over our speakers and microphones and plenty of towels to dry off after. THANK YOU!

This week we head into our home show weekend and there is a lot going on...

Tour shirts will be in this week. We will distribute them Thursday after rehearsal.

This upcoming Friday night is WD Middle School Night! Current 7th and 8th grade students are invited to join us during the game and see what the WDMB is all about. Interested student can sign up here: https://www.wdhsmusic.org/ms-night.html

This Saturday, the WDMB hosts 23 HS bands at our 47th Annual “Music in Cadence” TOB Show. The show begins at 2pm and concludes with WDMB at 8:45pm! Volunteers are needed. The WDMB is getting stronger and stronger! This past Sunday we took the show 2hrs North to Madison HS where our Marching Eagles continued to soar. The band scored 88.45 and was the highest scoring band of the entire show! Congratulations to our Drum Major, Henry Poblete, on received the award for Overall Best Drum Major! It was a great day and we are starting to hit our stride.
 
The WDMB continues to be ranked #1 in Group II, Open Class! We are so proud of these kids. They are working very hard and coming together wonderfully.  This past Sunday's score of 88.45 sets a new week 4 record high for the WDMB. The previous week 4 high score was 88.40 set in 2019.

We have much to do and look forward to this week. This week we are working more props into the show. Color guard costumes will finally be in! Look for little additions throughout the show every week.
