Rain couldn't stop us. We are so proud of the WDMB, 2022 Region 1 Grand Champions with a score of 94.70! The WDMB also took the awards for Best Music, Best Visual and Best Color Guard. And congratulations to senior color guard member Marisa Parisi on being awarded a TOB Region I $500 scholarship! It was a rainy day, but the WDMB stood tall through it all!

PLAYOFF FOOTBALL
This week we have playoff football! The WD football team has advanced to the playoffs and they are set to take on Gloucester City this upcoming Friday night. The WDMB will be traveling to the game to support our team. If we can make transportation work, we are planning on performing our field show before the game. If we can make this work, we would perform at 6:30pm.

HOODIE ORDERS
"Drawn In" Hoodies will be in this Friday. They will be distributed after we return from this week's football game.

FINAL COMPETITIONS
We are moving full steam ahead into the final 2 events - NJ States and Atlantic Coast Championships. Attendance is critical as we prepare for these final contests. Please do all you can to stay healthy and rested. We can do this.

This week we are heading into TOB NJ States at Barnegat HS. The competition will be strong, and we hope to see as many WDMB supporters in the stands. Tickets are only available at the gate. WD performs at 6:15pm. Full NJ States lineup is here. 

On Saturday, November 5 we will be returning to Hershey for the TOB Atlantic Coast Championships. After the results of this past weekend's regional contests, the WDMB is ranked #2 and will perform at 6:15pm. A full schedule will be out later this week.

TRUNK OR TREAT
Our Annual Trunk or Treat will be held on Sunday, October 30th from 5:30p-8:30p in the WDHS Horseshoe Parking Lot.  If you are interested in decorating a car and handing out treats, please respond using the Sign Up Genius Link Below.  If your band member is interested in participating, please use the link below to RSVP as well.  As in the past, we are extending the invitation to members of the WDMS grade band as well.  We hope to see you there.

WE ARE REALLY HITTING OUR STRIDE! The WDMB had a fantastic weekend of performances. Thank you to everyone for hanging in through a very long weekend. Here are some highlights from the weekend:

• Our 48th Annual "Music in Cadence" TOB Competition went amazingly. The weather was perfect and we gave 22 bands a great performance opportunity. 
• Thank you to our show announcers Mr. Wyatt & Mr. Yerkes. They did a phenomenal job!
• This weekend would not have been the absolute success it was without our Band Parents organization.  We cannot thank our Band Parents, alumni & friends who came out and worked enough.  Everyone who came out to help with the home show were amazing.  Thank you all for your time and dedication to making that evening very special.  I want to give special shout outs to our Band Parents Executive Board for all of their time, planning and execution which made the show run so smoothly.
• Finally thank you to everyone who came out to both shows and cheered us on.  It is obvious who's family and friends "bring it" to each show.  Your cheers are our fuel and we love it.  

Competitive Summary
This weekend was a huge success for the WDMB! The WDMB remains undefeated going into Regional Championships.  The WDMB took "Grand Champion" honors at the Deptford TOB!  TOTALLY AMAZING!

Sunday's score of 93.40 gives the WDMB the highest score of the regular season in all TOB (162 Bands)!  This is the 7th consecutive time the WDMB finished the regular season having achieved the highest score in all TOB!

SJ Regional Championships
On Sunday, we will be traveling to Eastern Regional HS for the Tournament of Bands - SJ Regional Championships.  WD is the #1 seed going into championships and will perform last in our group.  WD is working towards their 14th SJ Region I Championship.  Results from this weekend determines final rankings going into the Atlantic Coast Championships (ACC's).  We have tickets available.  Tickets for both Adults ($15) and Student/Senior Citizens ($10) are available from Mr. Kershaw. Let's fill the stadium with Green & White!!!

The WDMB came out swinging this weekend and produced 2 solid performances.  "Drawn In" is a hit!  We recieved so many compliments on our performance. We are very proud of our opening score of 87.80. We received this score on both Saturday & Sunday. Thank you to everyone who put on the miles to come out and cheer us on! Your cheers fuel our performance! 

The WD is now ranked #1 in Group II, Open Class! We are currently ranked #5 out of 147 band in all of TOB! Scores and rankings are found here: http://www.tob-info.net

• Friday Football is Home vs Salem HS - This is also Senior Appreciation Night. All senior members should have received an email from the Athletic Office. Please be sure to rsvp and respond asap.

• Buddy Bags - Each year at our home show our members create special gifts called buddy bags. Each member exchanges with another member. No one knows who is their "buddy." This is a kid to kid thing and I just wanted to mention it. I am not involved. Please don't ask me about it. :)
• Tickets are available for the Deptford Show. They are $15 for adults (available from Mr. K) and $10 for students & senior citizens (available at the gate).
