Before we journey into our final competition of the season, we wanted to send a message of appreciation to everyone who has helped us along the way. There are so many people who give their time, energy, and care to support these amazing kids. Your contributions expand the experience we provide and help us reach the highest levels of accomplishment.
PARENTS - Thank you to all the parents! Drop offs and pick ups throughout the season are full commitment alone. Our band season has an impact on everyone’s lives, but we know it is all worth it. Good news! They are all yours again next week! That bedroom is getting cleaned!
PIT CREW – Thank you to John Phillips and all the people who come out each week to help build and maintain our props, carts and equipment. This group makes sure our equipment gets to and from performances without a scratch. They also stage our props and make sure we get on and off the performance field in a timely manner.
BAND PARENTS BOARD – Thank you for supporting all our events to the highest level. With Home Show, weekly football concessions, 50th Home Show Alumni Event and weekly competition meals and snacks, this group keeps us organized and well provided for. Thank you for putting so much into making the WDMB Parents Organization the gold standard of support groups at WDHS.
CONCESSION STAND - Thank you to everyone who has helped grill, fry, bake, pour, flip, sort, stack, wrap, serve, and every other needed task needed to operate the concession stand. There is a special level of pride our parents put into this operation. The time and energy is appreciated by the entire community.
DRIVERS - Thank you to the volunteers who come out to make sure our fleet of trucks and trailers get to our destinations safely. Box trucks, the band trailer, landscape trailers and other support vehicles are moving every week.
FAMILY & FRIENDS – Thank you to everyone who has come out and cheered us on at our performances. Many times, even football games feel like competitions with the amount of support in the stands. Thank you for driving the miles. Your cheers make a difference, and the kids really stand taller and shine brighter hearing your support.
BAND STAFF - Thank you to our hard working band staff who are tirelessly working with our students each and every rehearsal. We are blessed to have such dedicated, long-serving staff members motivating our students. They are truly a remarkable group of high quality educators.
