We are 6 rehearsals away from our 1st public performance.

This week we have 6 rehearsals until our 1st full public performance! We'll be ready, but we need you here.

Wed. 8/26 - 4pm-7pm Rehearsal & Frosh Fest (SEE NOTES BELOW)
Thu. 8/27 - Uniform Fitting - New Musicians 5pm
Thu. 8/27 - Rehearsal 6p-9p

Uniform fitting - This week we will begin fitting all musicians for their full dress uniforms. Students should come to their fitting on time at 5pm and dress in shorts and t-shirt. (No pants)  

• Returning Musicians - 5pm Tuesday 8/25
• New Musicians - 5pm Thursday 8/27

Color Guard members have already been sized. Their show costumes are custom ordered each year.

​Band Shoes - If your student did not purchase band shoes this past Spring, they will need them now. Shoe Order Form

2026 Froshfest - With Froshfest being scheduled in the pm hours this year, this conflicts with our regularly scheduled rehearsal. We will move our rehearsal from 6p-9p to 4p-7p. All incoming freshmen wil be able to attend froshfest in full! In addition the WDMB was asked to play at the beginning of the event. 
Our Froshfest schedule will be:
  4:00pm - Rehearsal in auditroium to practice pep band music
  5:30pm - Move to front of the HS / Freshmen dismissed
  5:40pm - Begin "Welcome to Froshfest" hype in front of the HS
  6:15pm - End our part of the event
  7:00pm - Dismissed

Football Opener 9/4 - The full WDMB will be wearing our alternative uniform for this 1st performance. This is the same as what we wore for Memorial Day. Anyoner needing a shirt will need to order one now. Shirt Order Form

Musicians
• Uniform Polo Shirt - Purchased though band
• Uniform Cap - Provided
• Solid Black Pants (w/belt loops & belt)
• Solid Black Band Shoes - Purchased though band
• Solid Black Socks

Color Guard
• Uniform Shirt - Purchased though band
• Solid Black Shorts (w/belt loops & respectable length – No short-shorts or cut-offs!!!)
• Solid White Shoes/Sneakers
• White Socks

A Plea to Our Band Parents
We cannot stress enough how important your child’s attendance at every band rehearsal is. Marching band is a team effort—when one student is absent, it affects the entire ensemble and the progress of their fellow members.
Every rehearsal matters. The skills, music, drill, and teamwork we build each day are essential to our success. Please make band rehearsals a priority and help your child make the commitment to be present, prepared, and ready to give their best.
