WDMB Update 9-8-2026

WE ARE NOW OFFICALLY "IN SEASON!"

Our hard work is beginning to shine through. This past Friday the WDMB brought the BOOM at our home opener football game. It was great to support our team with our cheer squad. Great to see WD football grab that "W" Everyone is looking like its going to be an awesome fall season!

At halftime, the WDMB did a concert style preview performance of our 2026 program. While we could have marched the show, we want just a little more time to soldify some more performance quailty. So far this season, the WDMB has lost 15+ hours of field time due to weather related issues. We will be marching the show at this upcoming Friday's home football game.

Thank you to all of the parents who came out and worked this past Friday's Home Opener. Our parents are a very special group and we appreciate everyone giving their time to support our program and our community. No does it better than the WDMB Parents!

BAND PARENTS MEETING Monday, 9/14
Next Monday we have a band parents meeting at 8pm in the HS auditorium. We are entering our busy season with event planning as concession stand and home show crews are forming.  We need you! Please plan to attend!  Thank you.

2026 WDMB Tour Shirt Orders:  Orders for this year's "BALLERINA" tour shirt will be taken through Saturday, 9/19.  These shirts are adults sizes and include the show theme's artwork on the front and the full list of 2026 performances on the back. These are keepsakes and basically everyone buys them. Order forms are linked HERE and will be available in the HS band room.

SCHEUDLE UPDATES

• As mentioned earlier, we have lost about 15 hours of field time due to recent evening thunderstorms. To get us back on track we have added rehearsal on this upcoming Saturday, Sept. 12 from 9am-1pm. On this date, we will finish learning the closing of our program. Attendance is crucial.
• The WDMB will not be attending the Thursday Night away football game scheduled on 9/17. Right now, we are not planning any alternatives, but ask everyone to keep that night open. If we lose Tuesday or Wednesday rehearsal that week due to rain, we will rehearse on Thursday.
• We will not be competing on Saturday, September 19th. There are no local show options for us to attend. I have been looking. We will rehearse 9am-2pm on this date. Enjoy the night off.
• Rehearsal has been added on Saturday, 9/26 9am-1pm. Yes, this is the day of the homecoming dance. Everyone will be fine. We have had afternoon competitions on this date and still made it to the homecoming.
• 10/3 will be our 2026 debut competition at Brick Memorial HS. We can't wait.
