​The WDMB finished their competitive season this past Saturday in East Rutherford, NJ at MetLife Stadium. While we had a few technical issues, the WDMB performed their hearts out and lit the field up! The WDMB put on an amazing show and we are so proud of them. This event is a completely different and new experience for us. It was great to see our band perform in such an amazing venue.

The WDMB staff and students want to thank everyone for their support this season. This has been an amazing season of growth and development. It was truly an amazing run this year with a group of very hard-working students. "Masquerade" will always hold a special place in our WDMB history. Now we get to take a deep breath and take a well earned break, for a bit!

IMPORTANT!
We have a few upcoming events before this season is complete.  While our largest focus is usually on our  competitions, we must now keep up our energy and attendance until the end.  Students who do not meet these final obligations will not receive any end of season recognitions or honors (jackets, banquet).  This is not the time for students to disappear.  Every performance is important and every member is obligated to be in attendance!  

FINAL EVENTS
We have 5 final meetings to round our amazing season:

• Tuesday, 11/18 - WD Middle School performance (am) - Details below
• Christmas Parade Rehearsals Wednesday, 11/19 & Wednesday, 12/3
• Saturday, 12/6 - Salem & West Cape May Christmas Parades - Details below

MIDDLE SCHOOL PERFORMANCE - Tuesday, 11/18
=> All members will report directly to WDMS by 7:15am.
=> All students will need full show uniforms, all equipment, and flip books.
=> Students will be in full show uniform and need a change of clothes for school after performance.
=> WDHS students will return to WDHS by bus 10:45am.
=> ​GCIT students will need to provide their own transportation after.

CHRISTMAS PARADES INFO (full detailed post coming next week)
=> Students will need money for lunch.  We will be stopping at a shopping center where there are several fast food restaurants to chose from.  
=> Dinner will be provided at the end of the West Cape May parade by our band parents.  
=> All musicians will need a red & white Santa hat for the parades.  We will be using these in place of our uniform hats. 

WD WinterGuard
Signups are now open for students interested in being a part of the WD Winterguard.
The West Deptford Indoor Color Guard is a Winter/Spring activity. Interested students currently in grades 8-12 are eligible to participate. Experience is not required, but a dance background is very helpful.  This is a competitive group and subject to audition criteria. Join us for our informational meeting on Thursday, 11/13 - 7pm - WDHS Band room

What an exciting end to our TOB season! The WDMB rolled in and out of Hershey with our heads held high. We gave our best and have no regrets. We want to thank everyone who made the journey to Hershey to support these amazing kids.
Congratulations to the WDMB Color Guard members and staff on their 2nd consecutive ACC Best Color Guard Award! Our color guard program has really been developing into a true force of design and performance quailty. We are so proud of them.

PLAYOFF FOOTBALL
The WD football team has progressed into the 2nd round of playoffs. We will have HOME football this Friday, kickoff 7pm. Should the team win this Friday, we will have another week of playoff football next week.

METLIFE COMPETITION
​This week will be our final week of full rehearsals as we prepare for the upcoming competition at MetLife Stadium. This a brand new experience for the WDMB and we are very excited to perform on such a large stage. We will be competing against all new bands for us from several different states.

Discounted Tickets for this event are available in advance from Mr. Kershaw. There are only general admission tickets available and there are no student/senior citizen level tickets. If you are planning to purchase from us, please do so by Friday. We leave very early on Saturday morning and we will not have time to accommodate you. TY.

Tickets at the gate are $40.50pp
