Here we are, looking down at the final week of our competitive season.  Our months of hard work and efforts will come together this week as we make our final drive into our last competition.  Last night, the Group III bands had their ACCs.  1stplace & 2nd place was decided by one tenth of a point.  I am expecting another close contest this weekend as well. 

This week we can expect more cold weather.  Lows in the 30’s.  Please be sure everyone is coming with a couple of layers of clothing.

This Saturday we will be rehearsing at Gateway Regional HS.  This rehearsal will allow our band members the  opportunity to get a feel of performing on an artificial surface similar to what we will have at Hershey.   Students
  will report directly to Gateway. 

On Sunday we will be traveling to Hershey, PA for the TOB Atlantic Coast Championships (ACC’s). There are 30 Group II Open Class bands competing! Be sure to purchase tickets from Mr. Kershaw. Advance ticket sales are $20 for adults and $15 for students/seniors. Gate prices are $22 & $17.  Only cash can be accepted for ticket purchases.

Well, to say we are a little  disappointed is an understatement. This past Sunday is not how we had planned things to go.  Our performance was loaded with "irregularities" and we allowed  the other team to pass us.  This season, competition between Deptford and us has been interesting.  We have competed head-to-head 4 times and we both are 2-2  with the tie breaker coming in Hershey on November 3rd.  Our resolve has never been stronger.  Our band & staff are determined to eradicate all "irregularities" from our performance and walk away from our final competitive performance with no regrets.
 
Every rehearsal is important.  We need consistency.  Only 4 tenths separate the top two bands!  Every bit of effort  will make the difference.
 
Tonight I will be passing out 2013 Parisian Portraits Tour Shirt Order forms.  Shirts are $10 and will have our show's theme  on the front and all of our performance dates & locations on the back.  Our order will be placed on Monday, 10/28 and we'll have them in for ACC's.
 
On Saturday, 11/2 we will be having our ACC  rehearsal.  Times are not determined yet as we are still trying to firm up our rehearsal location.  Please keep this date open and clear.
