​It was amazing being back in uniform on our field to perform! It was a great day! We had a great performance at the Fall pep rally. We later took time before the game to recognize our senior members and their parents. Then we stepped onto the field for halftime and debuted our 2020 program, “In Concert.” Thank you to Anja Mizner for taking great photos! ​Thank you to everyone who came out to support your Marching Eagles. There was such a HUGE response when we stepped onto the field. There was a lot of excitement and the kids responded with a great performance!

This week we will be preparing for next week’s virtual TOB event. We will be finalizing the final part of our show. We are really peaking and look forward to next week’s WDMB Band Week performances and events.

This Thursday we will be having band photos taken. All members will have their photos taken in full uniform. Photos are 4pm-5:30pm. We have individual and full group photos taken so YES, all members must attend. After photos, students will change out of uniform and into rehearsal clothes. Payments are given to the photographer on Thursday. The order form will be handed out after rehearsal on Tuesday or you can download and print one out here:

Hello everyone,

We are currently working on creating a very special week for the season and want to INVITE YOU to participate. We are going to have several band events the 1st week of November. During this week we will be producing a video recording of our 2020 “In Concert” program.  The week will end with a full community performance where family and friends will be able to come out and see the 2020 WDMB live in the WDHS Stadium. Let’s break down the week!

Tuesday, November 3 - Rehearsal 5pm-9pm – Video Performance Production
This extended rehearsal will allow us to create a high-quality video of our 2020 show to be submitted to Tournament of Bands as a part of their virtual evaluations. The 2020 WDMB has been working so hard to put this show together and we want to get a high-quality capture of the show. 
We want to invite parents and family to join us at 8:30pm in the WDHS Stadium and be a part of the live taping of our performance. Masks and social distancing will be required.  
    5pm–7pm Rehearsal
    7pm–7:30pm Change into Full Uniform
    7:30pm–8:30pm Video recordings
    8:30pm–9pm Run-through with Audience

With all of the many restrictions placed upon our organization this season, many long-standing traditions and events which shape our band’s culture have been omitted from our 2020 season. We will come together to offer our membership the opportunity to reclaim those events.

    5pm–6pm Band Camp “Parents Visitation Luncheon” in stadium area
    6pm–7:30pm Band Camp Traditions (talent show, skits, section presentations)

Hello WDMB Family,

We were all disappointed losing last Friday's performance opportunity. Sadly, any chance of rain prevents the band from attending because we cannot safely bring the entire group into the building to shelter them.  We are looking forward to staying dry and performing this upcoming Friday. 

This week we are preparing for 2 performances:
1) Friday Fall Sports Pep Rally – 12:30pm report, Dismissed at 2:15pm
2) Friday Night Football – 5pm report

PEP RALLY EVENT (Friday)
Below outlines the logistics of the pep rally event.  The event will be livestreamed.  Only senior students will be invited to the event and must wear a mask upon entry. 

• Dr. Gismondi sent out a modified Pep Rally schedule which will provide for a shorter academic day:

• All pep rally participants will be temperature checked upon arrival. Band members should arrive in the horseshoe for band temp screening.
• Once we begin the Pep Rally at 1:30pm, each team will be announced and walk across the field to the home side of the track.
• After teams are recognized, the Homecoming Court will be announced and will play a socially distant Homecoming Court game.
• After the Homecoming game, the WD Marching Band will perform and the Cheerleaders will perform their routine.

FOOTBALL EVENT - SENIOR RECOGNITION NIGHT (Friday night)
Tickets for this week's game will be handled the same as this past week.
Each WDMB member will received 2 ticket vouchers.
WDMB seniors were given 3 extra tickets last week. These tickets will be honored this week.
No additional tickets will be given to seniors.

Our ticket count is as follows:
Marching Band: 65 members = 130 tickets
WDMB members will be able to get their tickets Tuesday after rehearsal.
