This past weekend was a HUGE success. We represented our school and community very well at Rutgers University's Band Day. I am so proud of our students. They were exemplary role models and had a great time. It is our hope that this experience will open their eyes to their future options after HS.

This week we will be preparing for our competitive debut at Appoquinimink HS. This is why we work so hard. This week's rehearsals are essential to a great debut performance. here is the rundown for the week...

Full Uniform
All Members will have their uniforms distributed to them after rehearsal this Tuesday. All members should take them home and try them on. Let Mr. Kershaw know about any issues.

2022 WDMB Tour Shirt Orders:  Orders for this year's "Drawn In" tour shirt will be taken through Tuesday, 9/27.  Order forms are in the front of the band room or click here: Tour Shirt Order Form

Football this week!  The WD football team is home against local rival Haddonfield this upcoming Friday.  Kickoff is 7pm. The WDMB will be performing their entire program at halftime. HELP NEEDED! =>  Our pit crew can use a few extra hands to help the band move on and off the field. Please consider helping us by coming out to the game. See John Phillips at the concession stand area.

Competition! OK, here we go!!!  First competition is this weekend!.  The show site is about a 60 minute drive from WDHS.  We know this show is a hike, but we hope to fill the stands with WDMB supporters!  We will be competing against 1 other Group II, Open Class band.  WD Performs at 7:30pm.  Be sure to come out and make some noise as we set into competition with a complete "Drawn In" performance.

Competition Tickets!  Tickets will be available (still waiting to receive them) Only adult tickets are available from Mr. Kershaw.  Students/Seniors tickets are available at the gate at the show.  Be sure to purchase your adult tickets from Mr. Kershaw. We keep the proceeds from the adult tickets we sell.  Only cash is accepted for all ticket sales.

Hello All,

We are opening the spirit wear store again. We have added some cooler/winter items to the store as well as other items. The store will be open until Tuesday the 27th. Also, please note that the dry fit items (shirts and golf shirts) run big so I would suggest going down a size. 

We do have some scarfs, hats (Skull & Pom Pom) left over from last year and blankets. These items are not in the store so they would need to be paid separately from the store, if you want something. the hats are $15, scarfs $10 and blankets $25. We only have 3 scarfs, 5 skull caps and 11 Pom Pom hats. So first come, first serve. Please reach out to Mrs. McKinney with questions.

This past week we hit a major milestone of the season; we finished learning the drill to our show.  This is significant because this allows us to move forward refining the performance , growing confidence, and develop the overall show continuity.

Thank you for everyone's patience as we navigated through a few schedule changes this week. As always we adapted and overcame the circumstances and attendance was amazing.

This week we will continue to work on the finale to our show. Our members are really doing a great job, and the show is really coming alive. We are pouring everything we can into this production and we are gaining momentum into our first competition at Appoquinimink HS on Oct 1.

UNIFORM FITTING - Uniform pants fitting will be held this Tuesday (9/20) at 5pm.  If you or someone you know can help with hemming pants, we can really use the help. Please email Mr. Kershaw if you are able to help with this.
