WHAT AN AMAZING FINISH TO OUR SEASON!

First we want to thank everyone who came out to our ACC Sendoff performance. We were so thrilled to see so many people come out and fill the stands to support these hard working kids. It is great to perform out of the competition setting and share the field with our family and friends for lots of pictures. Seeing all of the proud parents and family members together on the field with their WDMB member is special. This has become one of our newest and best traditions.  

Next, we stormed into HersheyPark Stadium for the Tournament of Bands, Atlantic Coast Championships. The WDMB truly put on the show of the season and earned the score of 96.90, 2ND PLACE and the award for BEST MUSIC! We are so proud of what we have accomplished this season. Thank you to everyone who made it to Hershey to support us. You are always the wind beneath our eagle wings!

Now what?

Tonight, we will have our November Band Parents meeting at 8pm. Please come out if you can as we begin to turn the page and look ahead to our very bright future!

FINAL EVENTS
We have 2 final events to round our this amazing season:

• Tuesday, 11/14 - WD Middle School performance
• Saturday, 12/2 - Salem & West Cape May Christmas Parades

MIDDLE SCHOOL PERFORMANCE

• All members will report directly to WDMS by 7:15am.
• All students will need full uniforms, all equipment, and flip books.
• Students will be in full uniform and need a change of clothes for school after performance.
• WDHS students will return to WDHS by bus 10:45am.
• GCIT students will need to provide their own transportation after.

SCHEDULE MODIFICATION
Due to having several members away on vacation this week, we are shuffling an few things around. This week's scheduled band pictures and recording rehearsal will be moved to next week, 11/15. This will allow all of our members to be including in these important events.  The rehearsal originally scheduled for this Wednesday will now be moved to Tuesday, 11/21. As always our SCHEDULE PAGE has all of the up-to-date info.

CHRISTMAS PARADES INFO
=> Students will need money for lunch.  We will be stopping at a shopping center where there are several fast food restaurants to chose from.  
=> Dinner will be provided at the end of the West Cape May parade by our band parents.  
=> All musicians will need a red & white Santa hat for the parades.  We will be using these in place of our uniform hats. 

IMPORTANT!
We have a few upcoming events before this season is complete.  While our largest focus is usually on our TOB competitions, we must now keep up our energy and attendance until the end.  Students who do not meet these final obligations will not receive any end of season recognitions or honors.  This is not the time for students to disappear.  Every performance is important and every member is obligated to be in attendance!  

WD WInterGuard :)
Signups are now open for students interested in being a part of the WD Winterguard.
The West Deptford Indoor Color Guard is a Winter/Spring activity. Interested students currently in grades 8-12 are eligible to participate. Experience is not required, but a dance background is very helpful.  This is a competitive group and subject to audition criteria. Join us for our informational meeting on Thursday, 11/16 - 7pm - WDHS Band room

  - Full Uniform
  - Santa Hat (Traditional Style, Red & White)

  9:00am – Report & Load
  9:20am – Depart for Salem Christmas Parade
  11:00am – Parade begins
  1:00pm – Depart for West Cape May
  2:00pm – Lunch stop in Bridgeton (Rt 77 & Rt 49)
  3:00pm – Continue to  West Cape May Parade
  4:00pm – Arrive in West Cape May
  5:00pm – Parade  begins
  7:00pm – Complete parade, have pizza dinner
   => Dinner Location: Avondale by the Sea, 609 County Hwy 604, Cape May, NJ 08204
  8:00pm – Depart for WDHS
  9:45pm – Arrive at WDHS
  10:00pm – Dismissed

All uniforms will be collected upon return & should be returned on 2 separate hangers.
