WELCOME TO WEEK 4!

The WDMB did a great job at this past week's football game at Haddonfield. The WD football team fought hard and showed great spirit despite falling short by only 4pts. We will be there all the way to support our WD Football Team as they continue to fight on!

This week we will be working to get the final part of our show on the field. The WDMB is a band with BIG IDEAS and they take time to develop. The band is primed and ready to tackle the show's closing. As stated last week, attendance is our greatest indicator of success as a group. Attendance is imperative here on out.

After losing 6 hours of rehearsal due to Hurricane Ida, the WDMB is stepping up and forging ahead. After consulting with our student leaders, they decided that adding rehearsal this upcoming Saturday was the best way to get us up to speed. There will be rehearsal this upcoming Saturday from 9am-1pm.

The other schedule change this week is the moving of Thursday's rehearsal to Friday. Anytime the WD Football schedule has nothing on a Friday night, we move Thursday's rehearsal. This eliminates a "school night" rehearsal from the kid's schedule. This is a win-win for everyone.

In 2 weeks the WDMB will be return to competition. Our first competition performance will be at Pitman HS. We perform at 2pm, very early for us! We want to get a HUGE following. Please help us get the word out and fill the stands with green and white!

We will be taking shoe orders for color guard this week. Due to the color guard costumes changing year to year we need to purchase new. This year the color guard will need nude/tan dance shoes. They are $30. You can download the order form here:

2021 tour shirts go on sale this week. Each year we have a shirt that features our show's theme on the front and our performance schedule (tour) on the back. These shirts are perfect for students and parents to wear to show their support. Musicians often wear these under their uniform jackets.  Shirts are only $15 each and we will be taking orders through Tuesday, 9/21.

Welcome to Week #3! I hope this update finds you and your family safe and secure after last week's Hurricane Ida's terrible damage.  We know of several areas that were hit very hard in SJ and have been thinking about everyone.

We lost 2 rehearsals last week due to the storms and we are doing our best to find ways to get ourselves back on track. Please be patient as we are working through these schedule changes along with school opening. We want everyone to succeed and have a great start.

Thank you for your patience. These have been some interesting?!? times and we are doing our best to navigate through them. So many people have been reaching out to help and assist. Thank You!

Wed 9/8 - Uniform Fitting (5pm) & Rehearsal (6pm-9pm)

Thu 9/9 - Rehearsal 6pm-9pm

Fri 9/10 - Football (A) Haddonfield
 - 5:00PM - Report at WDHS/Load Buses
 - 5:30pm - Depart for Haddonfield HS
 - 6:00pm - Arrive at Haddonfield HS
 - 7:00pm - Game Begins
 - 9:30pm - Game ends/Load
 - 9:45pm - Depart for WDHS
 - 10:15pm - Arrive at WDHS
 - 10:30pm - Dismissed

Due to the closure of WD school last Wednesday & Thursday, school opening events were postponed. Froshfest was rescheduled to tonight (9/7) and the Back to School "Meet & Greet" has been rescheduled to this Thursday (9/9) 6pm-7:30pm.  Due to the number of students involved with Froshfest, we have shorten rehearsal. Thursday's rehearsal will go on as schedule since students have already met their teachers. 

UNIFORM FITTING - Due to these rescheduled conflicts, uniform pants fitting will be held this Wednesday (9/8) at 5pm.  If you or someone you know can help with hemming pants, we can really use the help. I apologize for the constant schedule changes, but they are out of our control.

Away Football at Haddonfield - The band will be wearing our alternative uniforms again - same as the first football game. We will be participating as a pep band only. We will not perform our field show at any away games this season.

FINAL NOTE:
Attendance is the #1 factor of our group's success. Please help us by reducing outside obligations which cause lateness or absence. This will allow us to grow stronger faster as the season progresses. We need a cohesive rebound from last week's cancellations. We can do it! Go WDMB!
