Welcome to Week #3! I hope this update finds you and your family safe and secure after last week's Hurricane Ida's terrible damage. We know of several areas that were hit very hard in SJ and have been thinking about everyone.
We lost 2 rehearsals last week due to the storms and we are doing our best to find ways to get ourselves back on track. Please be patient as we are working through these schedule changes along with school opening. We want everyone to succeed and have a great start.
Thank you for your patience. These have been some interesting?!? times and we are doing our best to navigate through them. So many people have been reaching out to help and assist. Thank You!
Here is this week's schedule followed by a brief explanation.
Tue 9/7 - Rehearsal 7:30pm-9pm
Wed 9/8 - Uniform Fitting (5pm) & Rehearsal (6pm-9pm)
Thu 9/9 - Rehearsal 6pm-9pm
Fri 9/10 - Football (A) Haddonfield
- 5:00PM - Report at WDHS/Load Buses
- 5:30pm - Depart for Haddonfield HS
- 6:00pm - Arrive at Haddonfield HS
- 7:00pm - Game Begins
- 9:30pm - Game ends/Load
- 9:45pm - Depart for WDHS
- 10:15pm - Arrive at WDHS
- 10:30pm - Dismissed
Due to the closure of WD school last Wednesday & Thursday, school opening events were postponed. Froshfest was rescheduled to tonight (9/7) and the Back to School "Meet & Greet" has been rescheduled to this Thursday (9/9) 6pm-7:30pm. Due to the number of students involved with Froshfest, we have shorten rehearsal. Thursday's rehearsal will go on as schedule since students have already met their teachers.
UNIFORM FITTING - Due to these rescheduled conflicts, uniform pants fitting will be held this Wednesday (9/8) at 5pm. If you or someone you know can help with hemming pants, we can really use the help. I apologize for the constant schedule changes, but they are out of our control.
Away Football at Haddonfield - The band will be wearing our alternative uniforms again - same as the first football game. We will be participating as a pep band only. We will not perform our field show at any away games this season.
FINAL NOTE:
Attendance is the #1 factor of our group's success. Please help us by reducing outside obligations which cause lateness or absence. This will allow us to grow stronger faster as the season progresses. We need a cohesive rebound from last week's cancellations. We can do it! Go WDMB!
