And we are off... The WDMB had their first summer football game and the band looked and sounded great. We are always proud to support the WD football team as much as possible!
THANK YOU to all of our amazing band parents and alumni band parents who came for the return of “normal” WD football and work in our concession stand. Thank you for your never ending support of these kids and our program. You are a very special group of people. Come join the fun! We are always looking for a few extra hands to help out and have a great time together!
As we prepare for 2021-22 school year to start, the WDMB is ramping into full speed. This week we will have uniform fittings and continue developing our field show.
UNIFORM FITTINGS (musicians)
We will have uniform fittings this week on Tuesday and Wednesday 5p-6p. We will be fitting jackets on Tuesday and pants on Wednesday. We need help hemming pants on Wednesday! The only alterations we make on our uniforms are on the pant lengths. If you are skilled or know someone who is skilled with a needle and thread, please come out this Wednesday.
This upcoming Saturday the WD football team will be heading to Woodrow Wilson HS. The WDMB will not be attending this game for a couple of reasons. First, the holiday weekend has many band families traveling and our numbers are greatly impacted. It is not fair to pressure the remaining group to "fill in the blanks." Second, the stadium at Woodrow Wilson HS has very limited visitor's side seating and there is basically no where adequate for the band to setup. We look forward to cheering on our WD football team next week at Haddonfield HS.
