We did it! The WDMB worked tirelessly to earn the 2017 ACC Group II title. Congratulations to all of our members on this incredible accomplishment. We hope this experience has taught you the value and virtue of hard work, working as a team and working towards your goals. We are so proud of all of you!
Season milestones:
There are so many thank yous to go around...
=> Thank you to everyone who voted again and again in the Courier Post poll. In the end, the WDMB won by 25,000+ votes!
=> Thank you to our band dads and alumni band dads who came out week after week to move our props and equipment!
=> Thank you to our band parents who constructed and painted El Corazon on the staircases!
=> Thank you to everyone who went to Hershey to cheer us on!
=> Thank you to WDBP Board for organizing the parents bus and tailgate lunch in Hershey!
=> I would like to thank our incredibly talented staff. Some staff members drive OVER AN HOUR each way for rehearsals! Each year our staff grows. They are so committed to giving the kids the tools they need to succeed. Our staff is extremely caring, talented and committed to the program. They almost make me obsolete! So, to all of our WDMB staff, THANK YOU!!!!!!!
=> Thank you to the parents who helped with our bus issues. This was a very unfortunate situation beyond anyone's control.
=> Thank you to everyone who has tirelessly supported the WDMB week after week this season.
IMPORTANT!
Looking ahead, there are still 4 possible football games and the Salem & West Cape May Christmas parades before this season is complete. While our largest focus is usually on our TOB competitions, we must now keep up our energy and attendance until the end. Students who do not meet these final performance obligations will not receive any band awards/honors. This is not the time for students to disappear. The full band has obligations and just because they are “only football games” students are not to schedule other events or create conflicts. Every performance is important and every member is obligated to be in attendance!
This week we have only two events:
1. Recording rehearsal on Wednesday. Color guard will begin preparations for the Christmas parades.
2. Playoff FB on Friday at WDHS.
SAVE THE DATE! Tentatively, our BOE would like to honor the WDMB at their Nov. 27th meeting. Band members and their families will be invited to the BOE meeting where the students will be recognized for their season's accomplishments.
We are also in the process of putting together ACC championship shirts. These shirts will have all of the students names printed on the back and commemorate the record breaking season. More info will be coming out later this week.

Season milestones:
- The WDMB set a new WDHS record high score for our home show 93.85!
- The WDMB set a new WDHS record high score for Regional Championships 97.30!
- The WDMB finished the regular season with the highest score in all TOB for the 3rd consecutive year!
- At ACC's we won 2 of the 3 visual captions but came in 2nd in Overall Visual by .1
- Our brass section finished 2nd overall, guard 4th overall & percussion 4th overall.
- West Deptford is now the only band to win 8 consecutive ACC titles!
