This was a great week for rehearsals and the band has grown to the next level. This past week the band has really made significant strides in performance level. Our performance this week at our first home game was a great success and we will only get stronger!
Thank you to all of our incredible band parents who worked so hard preparing and working the concession stand. So many hands make that operation a success. Thank you to all who have contributed your time & efforts.
This week we head out into competition and we are ready! This week we will be working on making our show shine brighter. We work to stand a little taller. Play our music with more confidence. Spin our equipment with more strength and control. Its going to be a great week.
2017 WDMB Tour Shirt Orders: Orders for this year's "El Corazon" tour shirt will be taken through Friday, 9/29. Order forms are in the front of the band room.
Color Guard Shoes will be ordered this week. Shoes are $30. Please forward your shoe payment to Mr. Kershaw. Please make checks out to “West Deptford High School” We are using the same shoe as last year so returning members only need shoes if they outgrew their old ones.
Football this week: The WD football team is hosting Overbrook HS this upcoming Friday. We have a similar schedule as this past week reporting at 5pm. Color guard will report directly to our practice field to complete Part IV drill.
Competition! OK, here we go!!! First show is this weekend at Collingswood HS. This is about a 15 minute drive from WDHS. This show is very close and we hope to fill the stands with WD supporters! We will be competing against 3 other Group II, Open Class bands. WD Performs at 7:45pm. Be sure to make some noise for the WDMB!
Competition Tickets! Tickets are $12 for adults and $7 for Students/Seniors. Only adult tickets are available from Mr. Kershaw. Students/Seniors tickets are available at the gate at the show. Be sure to purchase your adult tickets from Mr. Kershaw. We keep the proceeds from the adult tickets we sell. Only cash is accepted for all ticket sales.
Uniforms! This we we are planning on being in full uniform for both performances (football & competition). We are still waiting on the arrival of our color guard costumes. We are expecting them in any day!
Band members will need to be in full uniform. This includes:
