THIS WEEKEND WAS OUT OF THIS WORLD! Our 43rd Annual "Music in Cadence" TOB Competition went very, very well. We gave 23 bands a great performance opportunity. The WDMB rose to the top of Group II Open Competition. The WDMB is now the highest scoring band in the entire TOB circuit (199 HS bands!). Final Regular Season Rankings are here: 2016
This weekend would not have been the absolute success it was without our Band Parents organization. We cannot thank our band Parents enough. Everyone who came out to help with the home show were amazing. Thank you all for your time and dedication to making that evening very special. I want to give special shout outs to our Band Parents Executive Board for all of their time, planning and execution which made the show run so smoothly.
Thank you to all of the band parents who helped us provide lunch with the Allegany Band on Sunday. It was a great time for us to shed the competition and just enjoy our activity with one of the best bands in TOB. This is the example we want to set for our activity and we are very proud to call the Allegany Band our friends, not just competitors.
Finally thank you to everyone who came out to both shows and cheered us on. It is obvious who's family and friends "bring it" to each show. Your cheers are our fuel and we love it.
On Sunday, we will be traveling to Eastern Regional HS for the Tournament of Bands - SJ, Region I Championships. WD is the #1 seed going into championships and will perform last in our group. WD is working towards their 9th SJ Region I Championship. Results from this weekend determines final rankings going into the Atlantic Coast Championships (ACC's). We have tickets available. Tickets for both Adults ($15) and Student/Senior Citizens ($10) are available from Mr. Kershaw. Lets fill the stadium with Green & White!!! Full Championship Show schedule can be found here: Schedule
