Hello everyone,
We are now in the home stretch of season. Only two more weekends of the 2014 WDMB season. The WDMB staff would like to take a moment to be thankful for all of the support YOU, the members and families, give the WDMB. We are truly blessed and thankful for all of our successes. Have a Happy Thanksgiving!!!
Tonight (Monday, 11/24) the WDMB is invited to attend the WDBOE meeting to be recognized for their successful 2014 Atlantic Coast Championship season. I am asking all students to arrive at the middle school no later than 7:15pm. The WDBOE meeting will begin at 7:30pm and we will be the first part of the meeting. This will be brief and should conclude by 7:45pm-8:00pm. For the first time since I've been here the WDBOE is recognizing the band's achievements so this is a BIG deal. Please be prompt and in attendance!
Tomorrow (Tuesday, 11/25) the WDMB is traveling to the middle school. We will be performing two assemblies. Percussion students are asked to report directly to the MS by 7:10am. All winds and color guard are to report to the HS at 7:00am. Students will then change into full uniform, load on buses and be on our way by 7:30am. Students will only miss periods 1-3.
Football Game (Friday, 11/28) This will be the final performance of our 2014 "ICE-SOLATION" field show. This is also senior recognition night, so this is a very significant evening as our will seniors stand with their parents just after marching their final field show performance!
Looking ahead: Next week we have Christmas Parades (Sat. 12/6) & FB (Sun. 12/7). These will be the final performances for the WDMB season. The WDMB will not march the field show at the final FB game. We will be in pep band mode only so we will not be transporting all of the pit equipment to the game. The Color Guard will be attending if they choose to. More on this next week.
